Personal Prayer
Praise the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Thank him for including you among Abraham’s spiritual descendants, for calling you to shine like a star in the firmament of glory (Gen. 22:17). Confess that sometimes your witness is dim. Commit yourself to connecting with and praying for other Christians who want to shine for God. Ask where you should begin.

For Your Family and Friends
Plead with God on behalf of children in your family and those around you. Pray that they will see the spiritual consequences of daily choices—and choose God.

For the Church
Ask God to translate parents’ concern for their own children’s salvation into passion to make disciples of every nation (Mt. 28:19-20).

For the Kingdom
Lift up missionary families, who often endure long separations from loved ones to share God’s good news. Pray that they will enjoy results.

For People to Know Jesus
Ask God to honor the tentative prayers of those who aren’t even sure there is a God—but are beginning to want one.
