Personal Prayer
Praise the Lord your God, who “goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deut. 31:6). Thank God for his presence in your life. Confess times when you think that just a little more money would make you even more content in God’s presence (Heb. 13:5). Commit yourself to wanting what you have, rather than scrambling to have what you want. Ask God to simply supply your needs and to give you contentment with his choices.
For Your Family and Friends
Pray that you can teach your children to be generous with their time and money. Involve your friends’ children in giving new and used toys to a battered women’s shelter.
For the Church
Pray that your congregation will make wise decisions in allocating money for its own ministries, for other Christians, and for unbelievers.
For the Kingdom
Intercede for those who invest money on behalf of Christian agencies.
For People to Know Jesus
Pray for unbelievers whose poverty erects a wall between them and wealthier Christians.
