Personal Prayer
Praise the Lord, who is able even to weigh your motives (Prov. 16:2). Thank God for times he has brought conviction to lead you to needed change. Confess any sinful actions, words, plans, or motives the Spirit brings to your attention. Commit to the Lord whatever you are planning to do, asking that he then make your plans succeed (16:3).

For Your Family and Friends
Pray for a pure heart as you lead your children and/or the children of your friends. Ask God to use you as a consistently good example.

For the Church
Pray that the leaders of your church will be motivated by love, faithfulness, and the fear of the Lord rather than pride (16:5-6). Ask God to keep your heart pure toward your leaders and to use you as an encourager for them.

For the Kingdom
Pray for integrity in the lives of Christians in all vocations. Ask God to place thoroughly righteous people in strategic leadership positions in your community and throughout the world.

For People to Know Jesus
Pray for Christians’ consistent love, faithfulness, and fear of the Lord to provide a shining contrast to those caught in deceit. Ask God’s Spirit to shine through you to bring someone to his light.
