Personal Prayer
Praise God, the one who is your dwelling place (Ps. 90:1). Thank him for giving you a wonderful inheritance in Jesus Christ, “an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade” (1 Pet. 1:4). Confess moments during the past day or week when you’ve looked for other “dwelling places.” Commit yourself to living under the authority and love of your heavenly Father. Ask God to show you today why his “dwelling place” is the best.
For Your Family and Friends
If you come from a line of believers, give thanks to God for being the dwelling place of generations past. Pray for his grace to be shown to generations yet to come.
For the Church
Intercede for the families of your pastor(s), elders, and deacons. Ask that God will be their dwelling place, too. Pray that these church leaders will find great joy both at home and in their work in your congregation.
For the Kingdom
Pray that God will gather together all those throughout the world who are searching for him as their dwelling place, and will bring them into the light of his marvelous, redeeming grace. Ask God to use you in that great gathering worldwide.
For People to Know Jesus
Pray that you will be enabled to show to an unbeliever by your word and deed why it is that you trust God as your dwelling place.
