Personal Prayer
Praise your Father in heaven (Mt. 6:9). Thank him for including you as a son or daughter in his family. Confess moments when you’ve acted like an orphan, turning your back on God’s fatherly love. Commit yourself to deeper fellowship with your Father. Ask him to reveal his abiding love in your life through his Word and Spirit.

For Your Family and Friends
Intercede for children in your family or community who are growing up without a mom or dad in the home. Pray for single parents whom you know.

For the Church
As you gather for worship with your brothers and sisters, ask the Father to quell any jealousies or sibling rivalries that would mar your church’s worship and fellowship (Eph. 4:2).

For the Kingdom
Pray for war-torn areas of the world where parents and children are suffering deprivation, separation, and death. Ask the Father to bring peace on earth.

For People to Know Jesus
Think of one friend or coworker who has not experienced God’s fatherly love in a redeeming way. Pray for an opportunity this week to speak to that person of the hope that you have (Eph. 2:12; 1 Pet. 3:15).
