Personal Prayer
Praise God as the eternal and triune God—the mystery of God in three persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Thank him for promising to make all believers one, just as the three persons of God are one (Jn. 17:20-23). Confess any tendency in your conversations or thoughts to work against this oneness of mind and purpose in the church. Commit yourself to working toward the unity of believers that is beautiful in God’s sight (Psalm 133). Ask God to make you more sensitive to his will and purpose in this area.

For Your Family and Friends
Pray for those who are experiencing alienation from their families for the sake of their faith in God and their desire to follow Jesus (Lk. 12:52-53).

For the Church
Pray that less important issues and controversies not be allowed to prevent the church from “being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose” (Phil. 2:2).

For the Kingdom
Pray that Satan not be able to break the unity and fellowship of missionaries from different denominations and cultural backgrounds as they minister together in their common fields.

For People to Know Jesus
Pray that many outside the church will be convicted of the truth of the gospel when they see the unity and love that prevails in your church fellowship (Jn. 17:23)
