Personal Prayer
Praise your God, whose right hand is filled with righteousness (Ps. 48:10). Thank him for being righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made (Ps. 145:17). Confess your own sinfulness, especially times in the last day when you have acted in an unrighteous way toward others. Commit yourself to being “filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ” (Phil. 1:11). Ask God to keep you in close communion with him throughout this day.
For Your Family and Friends
Ask God to enable believing teens among your family and friends to “say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives” (Titus 2:12).
For the Church
Pray for the elders of your congregation by name. Ask God that they will be models of right living for your congregation.
For the Kingdom
Pray for all efforts to bring godliness and righteousness to the great institutions of our society. Intercede for Christian leaders in business, education, and government.
For People to Know Jesus
Ask God to touch the hearts of unbelievers who are living for themselves, that they will come to their senses and stop sinning (1 Cor. 15:34).
