      • Prayer GuidesHere you will find a collection of Scripture-based prayer guides that you can use personally, in your congregation or small group.
      • Prayer IdeasHere you will find some simple prayer ideas that you might try in your church. While we present these as suggestions, it is important that you pray and seek the Holy Spirit’s direction as to what He wants you to launch in prayer in your church. Perhaps an idea here will really resonate with you after that.

      • Children / YouthHere are some resources that can help you as you think through how to raise up children to be prayer warriors in your church.
      • Handling Prayer RequestsMost churches and prayer leaders are inundated with prayer requests. How can we organize them in a way that people will pray? How can help people to move beyond just praying for the needs of people to praying for more kingdom issues in the life of our church? The ideas and resources here are designed to help you make what you do with requests more effective.
      • Missions PrayerMost churches and prayer leaders are inundated with prayer requests. How can we organize them in a way that people will pray? How can help people to move beyond just praying for the needs of people to praying for more kingdom issues in the life of our church? The ideas and resources here are designed to help you make what you do with requests more effective.
      • Extended Prayer ExperiencesExtended Prayer Experiences covers prayer events that are intended to be longer than a prayer meeting. This includes a week of prayer, a night of prayer, 24-7 prayer and prayer initiatives (where a church is praying on the same theme for a period, usually 21, 30 or 40 days).
      • Prayer Evangelism | Outreach PrayerChurches need to encourage and equip their people to pray for local lost people. Without concerted efforts to pray for the lost, churches will not see many come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Here are some ideas, inspirational articles and resources to help disciple your people in this important target of prayer.
      • Prayer Leader – Pastor RelationshipsOne of the most important aspects to the success of growing prayer in a local church is the quality of the working relationship between the prayer leader and the pastor, elders, deacon, and church board. A prayer leader can have great ideas and insights into what is needed, but without the blessing of the pastor and leadership, it will be difficult to succeed. This section offers advice, ideas and inspiration for both sides of the relationship.
      • Prayer MeetingsMost churches struggle to hold effective prayer meetings–that is times of prayer other than the worship services that are set aside specifically for prayer. If held, most churches see only a handful of people participate, and many churches, the agenda becomes just focused on the personal needs of its people or those in attendance. We want to encourage times of prayer that are focused outwardly–not on fix-its prayers based on everyone’s needs–to focus on kingdom issues. The ideas, articles and resources we list here are designed in some way to make your prayer meetings more dynamic and exciting.
      • Prayer Ministry TeamsAs a pastor or prayer leader it is difficult to do anything without help and cooperation. One of the first things we recommend that you do when you begin your ministry is select a team to come alongside you–a prayer ministry team. When we use that term, we do not mean a group of people who come together to pray for the church, though that may be a part of its role. We mean a group put together with the purpose of planning and implementing a prayer plan in your church. Here are some helps in considering how to effectively select and utilize this team.
      • Prayer RoomsOne of the most significant ways to help encourage prayer in a local church is to set aside a room that is exclusively (or almost exclusively) used as a prayer room. The visibility and financial outlay of this room speaks volumes to your congregation about the importance of prayer to your church.
      • Prayer StrategiesWhile we are all about listening to the Holy Spirit for direction, we highly recommend that you develop a plan (seeking the Lord at this stage of course) to help you grow prayer. Most church leadership appreciate a ministry that has some idea of where they are going, rather than just appearing to “fly by the seat of its pants.” This section gives you some ideas and helps on assessing where you church is in prayer and developing strategies to take your people deeper.
