Wavering Between Fear and Faith

Lord my heart wavers between fear and faith! News reports, words from friends, job insecurity–these things raise their voices and drown out Your gentle assurance. O God once again I choose to realign my heart and mind with the truth of Your Word and remind myself. Your faithful love endures forever!

Though I am weary of isolation I thank You for a fresh appreciation for my church family and the longing I feel for my brothers and sisters in Christ and to worship with them! Your faithful love endures forever.

Though I have concern for my physical health, I thank You that my life is in Your hands. I am a sheep in Your pasture. I’m in the flock of Your care. Your faithful love endures forever.

Though my resources have diminished, I will rejoice in You for You are my heavenly Father and know all that I need. You will provide for me. Your faithful love endures forever.

This day I declare that You O God are my refuge and my strength, You are present with me to help me in this time of trouble! Therefore I will not fear even though all around me the world seems to be giving way and mountains that seemed steadfast and reliable have fallen. But You Lord Almighty are with me, You are not shaken! Your faithful love endures forever! —

As You make wars cease, so too Lord I ask that You cause covid-19 to cease! Do this I pray that You might be exalted among the nations, that Your Name might be exalted in all the earth and all people come to know and understand that Your faithful love endures forever!

(Pause and pray further as led by the Holy Spirit.)

I ask this in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.
