Timely Prayer and Worship in Nashville

Worship leader and artist Sean Feucht and his team made Nashville, TN, one of their stops on the “Kingdom to the Capitol” tour immediately following the Covenant School shootings that shocked the nation.

“Despite a city still in mourning,” says Feucht, “Nashville felt the presence of God this night and everyone took notice. We were able to raise over $22,000 for the Covenant School!”

About 500 worshipers gathered to sing and pray at War Memorial Plaza. Feucht began by reading the Bible verse Jeremiah 33:6.

“No matter what you’ve gone through, I will bring health and healing,” Feucht explained of God’s promise. “I will heal my people and let them enjoy abundance, peace, and security.”

Feucht said, “I want to say with all compassion, with all sensitivity, and with no flippancy at all that Hallie, Evelyn, William, Katherina, Cynthia, and Mike were welcomed into their prepared place in heaven by the Son of God Himself.” He added, “Let’s not let trouble, anxiety, and worry overshadow the hope of heaven. Heaven is a place where life reigns and death dies.”

Sen. Jack Johnson, R-Franklin, was the only politician to address the crowd.

“There are very few things that are as beautiful to see as the Kingdom gathered here in a public square to worship our almighty God,” Johnson said. “I felt led to read Psalm 34:18: ‘The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.’”

“Kingdom to the Capitol” tour is an ongoing movement to bring worship and prayer gatherings to every state capitol across America.
