Now that we are past the hectic pace of the holidays, we may feel we
need time to just breathe. To relax. But Easter, the National Day of
Prayer and other events we need to plan for will come quickly.
3 Starting Points to Increase Prayer in Your Church
Recently I did a study of prayer mobilization in the Bible. I
discovered something I thought was interesting: prayer was usually
mobilized by a leader challenging the people.
Having been personally involved within the prayer ministry leadership
team of our home church since 1988, we have likely encountered about
every kind of high and low that many of you--as your church’s Prayer
Ministry Coordinator--have experienced. No doubt, that is why 1
Corinthians 15:57-58 has become one of our most-prized testimonies in
all of scripture.
Ezekiel 22:30 is a passage of Scripture that illustrates this principle
of how the Lord works. "I looked for a man among them ho would build up
the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I
would not have to destroy it, but I found one." God uses the
illustration of a walled city to demonstrate His commitment to prayer.
